![]() Game transfers from external hard drives. It appears as though sharing can only be done either from console-to-console using messages, or by loading the clips and screenshots onto a thumb drive and showing them that way. With Xbox when you take a screenshot or videoclip it's automatically uploaded online, so when I am talking with friends and want to share something I recently took a screenshot of I can either pull up Xbox DVR online or through the Xbox app on my phone and show or share directly to other messaging apps. On Xbox once you are at the home screen, with a single trigger pull I can go group-by-group to the game group I want to play and select quickly, but in most cases I don't do that anymore because everything I am playing is in Quick Resume. It should just be a list of games that can be organized into folders without having to scroll to the far right to my game library and having to find the game alphabetically. The PS4 UI I could organize my games by platform (PS4, PS3/PS2, Retro, etc), but the PS5 UI's 70% of the screen is taken up by info of the game who's card is selected. It sure would be nice to preinstall that on my PS5 before I have the disc, but I will have to wait hours to download Cold War and it's patches once I get it. Good example why this is good is that I have Cold War coming via Gamefly. The most simple of things I just can't get over on the PS5. I just got my PS5 last week, and between the services, and the UI the Xbox is by and large the superior platform from my experience with both at this point. Starfield, Halo Infinite, Horizon 5, Hellblade 2, Stalker 2, Psychonauts 2, and a lot of others. it would have been nice to be able to preload the likely 100+ GB game before I get the disc in but I can't.Ĭlick to expand.Well with the purchase of Bethesda and the existing/upcoming 1st party exclusives coming to Xbox the "no games" argument is going to be moot. ![]() like I have COD: Cold War coming from Gamefly. Whatever system you have, the game will be played on the best version for that system automatically.Īlso it's really frustrating you can't preload games you don't own yet. I really feel like Xbox's system of "Smart Delivery" is so easy to understand compared to the PS5 and not to mention that Series X-optimized games aren't $10 more. If you buy the $70 PS5 version you should just be able to insert that disc into a PS4 and play the PS4 version until you have a PS5.īut you're probably asking why not just buy the PS4 version now and upgrade to the PS5 version later? Well why should you HAVE to do that if you OWN the game? What if you want the PS5 case and you don't want to continue buying PS4 games when you eventually want to buy a PS5? why can't you start buying PS5 games now and play them on your PS4 until you can find a PS5? Like Horizon Forbidden West is an example. So am I missing something? Why is it that if you only have a PS4 at the moment, and REALLY want a PS5 but just can't find one.
